Take Good Christmas Pictures

Even if you aren't much of a photographer, just about everyone brings out a camera for the holidays. You're going to want snaps of the kids excited to see what Santa brought or a shot of your husband when he opens the joke gift that you got him. This quick guide will give you some tips and tricks on how to take better pictures during the holidays.

Don't use the flash. All your other relatives are going to be constantly blinding everyone; you want your pictures to be better than theirs and that means not using flash. The problem that usually arises from not using a flash is that your pictures may turn out blurry. This is because parties are usually at night when there's very little light. When there's less light, your camera compensates by leaving the shutter open longer (letting in more light). The easiest way to solve this problem is to place your camera on a tripod or rest it against a table or wall. Take multiple shots, holding the shutter button down and you're bound to get at least one good shot. Be sure you're using both your hands to support your camera. If your pictures are still coming out blurry, try putting your elbows together and pressing them up against your body. You'll be tenser and pictures will be clear.

Use different heights. When taking pictures of people, you typically want to be at eye level. This is fine for group shots or shots of adults, but when it comes to kids (and there will inevitably be kids around), don't be afraid to crouch down and get to their level. Even lying down on the floor can help bring out some great photos. For shots of objects (presents, decoration, dessert) experiment with different angles instead of simply seeing something and snapping a photo (inanimate objects don't typically move, so they're easier to work with). Try a direct top view or try putting the object in the foreground and some people or other scenery in the background.

Edit your images. Many people head straight for the photo booth at the local drugstore after filling up a memory card. If you really want some good pictures, snapping a photo is only half the job. Plug your memory card into a reader or use a usb cable and upload the pictures. Most cameras come with some basic editing software, but there are plenty of free resources on the internet (Google's Picasa is a great free editor). Some of the best quick things you can do are to crop and straighten your photos. Red eye is becoming less of a problem these days, but be sure to go through and fix all the scary eyeballs. The last (and most important) thing you should do is use color correction. Too yellow? Add blue. If you're colorblind, use the auto color correct feature. Color correction makes every picture you take better.

The best photographer is one who experiments. There will always be other people taking pictures, so try angles that no one else is doing. And don't ever let having a cheap camera be an excuse, just learn to master your camera and you'll become a good photographer in no time.

Learn Good Singing Breath Control

Good breathing technique :- is crucial for voice control when singing and every self respecting singer should learn and master this technique. Singers will never be able to sing powerfully, sustain a tone gracefully and sing with passion without mastering good breath control technique. When you are drawing in breath for singing, breathe from the bottom of your lungs upwards. When good breathing technique is mastered, you will be able to feel the breath all around your lower abdomen, not just at the front. Your chest and shoulders may begin to lift as you draw in your breath but do not let them lift or else the singing voice will sound strained and tensed. You will be frustrated with your singing effort if shallow breathing is your breath control foundation. Shallow breathing is air stored on your upper lungs where your throat and the upper chest meet. Correct and good breathing technique begins with the diaphragm and the breath support muscles. The key to correct use of diaphragm and breath support muscles is the expansion of your lower abdomen when taking in your singing breath. You have to exercise and develop this technique until it comes naturally to you as a breathing habit even when you are breathing normally when not singing. As you are practicing your singing breath control technique, do take notice of how much noise you make when you draw your breath.

4 Ways to Watch Internet Satellite TV and Free !!

We are not going to talk about the illegal methods of watching internet satellite TV channels such as intercepting TV channels using hacked TV cards. Rather, we will discuss 4 ways to watch TV legally without monthly TV bills. So here they are:
1. Self-Assembled Satellite Dish
Satellite dish can be assembled at home. There are different packages sold on eBay and your local hardware mall. The whole set up unfortunately can be pretty challenging for the unskilled hands. And most of us fall within the category if we are not technically inclined. And it is also not cheap to assemble one on our own. The cost can escalate to $1000 and beyond if we are not careful with our budget. The larger dish can be costly but if the dish is small, we get limited TV channels.
2. PCTV Card
The second option is using PCTV card to watch internet satellite TV. This is a better option compared to setting up our own satellite dish system. This card is just like graphics or sound card for our PCs. For a fine piece of card, a branded one, we should be able to spend no more than $300. However, you do need a high speed internet connection. So sorry for those with dial up connections, this device is not for you.

The PCTV card comes in 2 versions of installation. One is an external card which just needs to be fixed to the USB port. The other is slotted onto your computer motherboard. Needless to say, the internal card is not easy to install and most would find it uncomfortable to set up. But it is cheaper also.
3. Online Satellite TV
You may not be aware but some TV stations have gone online. They are offering you access to watch internet satellite TV at their websites. Stations like JumpTV are quite popular but require you to have a powerful high speed connection. I have tried some of these stations and realized that without a broadband connection, you can forget about watching TV here. On top of that, your computer must already have a media player. Most computers have that but if yours do not, you can download media players such as Windows Media Player, Winamp, DivX or Real Player and so on. While the television programs are free, I find that the selection is too small. And when many people gets onto the same station, it gets really slow as the pictures display in frames.
4. PC Satellite TV Software
This is probably the most accepted option nowadays. This software can not only let you watch internet satellite TV, you get to tune into radio stations as well. For $49.99, you can get to watch programs from well over 3000 satellite TV stations worldwide. Movies, Live sports channels, music videos, global news, cartoons, shopping channels and variety channels are some of the kind of TV programs you get. The set up is incredibly fast as well. Once you download it, you just install the program like what you would do for other software programs and you can start to use it. Even granddaddies and grandmas can do that without guidance. It is that easy! But a word of caution, do check out if your computer configuration can meet the requirements of the software before you purchase. Generally, if your PC CPU is at least a Pentium III, it should not be a problem. Millions of people across the world watch satellite TV and surf the net as well. Since you can bring TV to internet, it is a matter of time they start to watch internet satellite TV and join the hundreds of thousands who are doing so today. Come and see for yourself how it works at my TV blog.

Tonight I cry

Tonight I shed a tear….
Tonight I shed a tear for every child that faces abuse the hands of another….
I shed a tear for the oppressed in Palestine….
I shed a tear for the struggle my brothers and sisters face in Iraq….
I shed a tear for the innocent that is pierced with a bullet from an American soldier in Afghanistan…
I shed a tear for the homeless on the streets of America…
I shed a tear for AIDS, HIV, Cancer, and Sexually Transmitted Disease…
I shed a tear for all those who are lost in the worldy temptations…
I shed a tear for the sins I have swam in for far too long…
I shed a tear for the injustice of the so-called American Justice System…
Tonight I shed a tear…. And I don’t stop crying for those in Africa, who have been overlooked for so long. To my brothers and sisters in Humanity who live in Africa… regardless of faith… tonight I shed a tear for you, and I refuse to let the tears stop until the day that I see Africa united… I refuse to let the tears stop until I have fed the poor of Africa with my own hands… Until I have carried the burden of Africa of my own back… Until I have bled the blood of Africa from my own wounds… Until I have felt the pain of Africa in my heart… The tears will never stop… Africa, you will always be in my heart, in my soul, and part of me… Until the day I die, Africa you are my love…
